Most soils contain adequate amounts of nutrients but these nutrients are useless unless the PH is correct. Incorrect PH levels can cause nutrient up-take in some plants to completely stop. This can make the plant susceptible to disease, insect damage and in the most sever cases cause the death of your plants. Having your soil PH level corrected can be one of the best things you do for your lawn and garden this year.

   Step 3

            Build your soil food web. The “food web” is the natural cycle of nutrients through the earth and your plants. The best way to add to your soil food web is to incorporate compost into the soil top layers. Compost teas and fish fertilizers . Many nutrients are already in your soil waiting to be converted into plant soluble forms of N-P-K. By enhancing your soil food web you release trapped nutrients and your plants thrive with less maintenance and fertilizer.
